Dry, Rough And Itchy Body. Took Vaccine. Taking Rupanex Did Not Help. Any Remedy?

Hi, I am a 46 yrs woman. i have a very dry skin which I think is due to allergy. I took a vaccine and completed a monthly course for a year and also completed another course of vaccine taken after every 3 months. My skin is dry and rough and at night i suffer severe itching on my body, arms and legs including thigh. My doctor prescribed me to take Rupanex tablet, but it does not help much as before to stop the itching. Iam using Bio wellness SPF 30. Kindly suggest a remedy for the dryness of the skin and please prescribe a medicine for immediate relief of the itching.
Thank you

Hi..thanks for writing here.Your itching could be due to dry skin,in that case you can take tab.atarax at night ,start with 10 mg and increase to 25 mg along with tab.alaspan at day time.Do not apply soap ,bath only with luke warm water, apply a good emollient like cetaphil moisturising lotion ,immediately after bath ,do not rub too much with towel after bath.keep your skin somewhat watery, and then apply emollient.Secondaly since you are saying you got itching at night then scabies must be ruled out,ask other family members ,if they are also suffering from itching then you all have to apply antiscabitic lotion. If no family member affected then continue with above treatment. Also seeing your age dry skin can be associated with some internal diseases well,so get your routine blood investigations done along with thyroid profile.
