Done Vaginal Hysterectomy. Taking Panadol And Voltarin. How Fast Should Recovery Happen?
I had a vaginal hysterectomy 6 days ago. The operation was for bladder prolapse repair then the decision was made to remove the uterus & cervix to prevent future prolapse problems. My question is at what stage should my recovery be now? I'm taking Panadol & Voltarin for discomfit 4 hourly & am still spending most of the day in bed. Thank you for your assistance, Rosemary
Hi, As this is a major surgery, complete rest is required for about 7-10 days. Then you can do your routine work. Avoid heavy work, lifting weight, strenuous exercise for three months. Avoid constipation, coughing. Do pelvic floor exercise after consulting your Gynaec. Ok and take care.
