Done surgery for ovarian cyst. Have prolonged period. Ultrasound shows new cyst. What should I do?

hi..i just had a surgery 4 months ago for my rt ovarian cyst ...1.5 cm of rt ovary is saved. Now as i noticed prolong period and got an ultrasound again and it says now i have developed 4.5cm cyst on left side this time. What should i do ? will it keep occuring and re-occuring ? My doctor never advised me any hormonal therapy after surgery, was she wrong ?

Thanks for posting your query on health care magic.
Hormone supplementation is not required if ovary is retained.
So your Gynecologist is right in not advising you hormones.
Usually follicular ovarian cyst regress on its own . Regular follow up with transvaginal USG is required.
