Done Pneumococcal Vaccines, Still Developed, Immune Titers To Streptococcus Were Low. Pneumonia?

I am 61 years old and I have been healthy. I had two Pneumococcal vaccines, but I still developed Strep Pneumococcus at the end of August and I was hospitalized for 5 days. I never smoked and I do not drink. I saw an Immunologist who told me that my Immune titers are normal, but my Immune Titers to Streptococcus were all very low. He recommended the Prevnar, which I just had two weeks ago and then I will have the Titers repeated. What ar my chances of getting Pneumococcal Pneumonia again??

You need to get invesigated for Diabetes mellitus to rule out the common predisposing condition for any infecion.The protection induced by the vaccine is not absolute and you might have got the infection with other serotypes or other organisms.There are so many causes for Pneumonias starting from viruses to bacteria,mycoplasma and other causes.
