Done Nose Surgery To Repair Deviated Septum. Crusting Inside Nose. Blocked Nose, Bad Odor. Help
I had nose surgery several years ago to repair deviated septum and mucus plug removed and bone spur removed. I am having a terrible time with crusting up inside my nose. I cannot blow it out and have had to have it removed several times. I can tell when it is time because of the blocked feeling and a terrible odor. Is there anything I can use to help keep this from happening month after month?
The symptoms described are compatible with a deviated nasal septum. But however, other things should be taken into consideration of excluded first. A chronic sinusitis could lead to bad odour as well as nasal polyps could contribute to a chronic rhinitis, leading to infection and bad odour. Excluding a siniusitis could be of nutmost importance.
Surgery properly done will address this issue of the nasal septum. Seeing an experienced ENT specialist in the domain could be of immense help. Regards.
