Done Complete Hysterectomy. Pain, Bleeding During Sex. Reason?
Hello, I am 52 years old and I had a complete hysterectomy 20+ years ago. I have been divorced for 2 years and I have finally found a nice man. We had sex last night and it's been about 3 months since I have had sex until last night. During sex I felt a sharp pain and when everything was over I was bleeding heavy, I continued to bleed through the night and it has continued through today. What could he had hit? I have had alot of discomfort today also and I still do now. I have never bleed like this after sex. Thanks for your help. Becky
There is possibility of post-coital tear. This can occur due to decreased lubrication or disparity in between genital organs etc. Usually minor tears will heal by themselves. But as you are having continuous bleeding and pain, better to consult gynecologist once and get examined to find out the location and depth of the tear. And also to rule out other possible causes like cervical erosion etc. After that with her advice you can go for further required treatment.
