Does Zantac Cure Chest Discomfort And Dizziness?

Hi there. I would like some advice. I have been prescribed zantec recently to combat acid. But on monday I had a short episode of tightness in my chest and a very short spell. Of dizziness. It hasn't happened since. I am taking zantec again and trying to eat more healthily

I can understand your concern.
No Zantac (ranitidine) can not cause such symptoms.
Actually your symptoms are more suggestive of GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). And Zantac is antacid. Along with drugs, you need to follow below mentioned lifestyle modifications for better symptomatic relief.
1. Avoid stress and tension.
2. Avoid hot and spicy food. Avoid junk food. Avoid large meals, instead take frequent small meals.
3. Keep 2-3 pillows under head in the bed to prevent reflux.
4. Quit smoking and alcohol if you have these habits.
5. Loose weight if you are obese.
Don't worry, you will definitely improve with all these.
