Does Yellow Discharge After Having Wisdom Teeth Removed Indicate Infection?

Hi, this is the first week of me getting my wisdom teeth removed. The first 3 days were not bad, but towards the 4th and 5th my mouth is killing me and i noticed there is a bit of yellow stuff at the very bottom of the opening. Does that mean it s infected? Or could it be the dissolvable stitches going away?

Thanks for asking in healthcaremagic forum

Usually whenever any tooth is removed, it heals by 3-5 days filling up the gap gradually. So, if you are finding yellow substance with discharge and pain then it may be due to slough(bad dead tissue). So, go for a followup with your dentist as soon as possible. Till the use mouth wash(Not to be swallowed) to maintain hygiene.
