General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, i do care for your concern.
Asthma is caused due to constriction of the terminal respiratory bronchioles,
that cause difficulty mostly during expiration (breathing out).
respiratory infection can also trigger an asthma attack and cause difficulty in breathing.
i would advise
to get treated for your respiratory infection with antibiotics, and then deal with asthma, as long term inhalational steroids would help you a lot.
avoid exposure to allergens as this will ad to the help.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help. thank you.
I find this answer helpful
