Does Warfarin Control Cholesterol Level?

I am on warfarin, when my blood becomes more coagulated it seems like my cholesterol and blood sugar go up, when the warfarin is adjusted and levels are back between 2-3 cholesterol goes down. My question is does the warfarin help keep cholesterol in check?

Hi,
Warfarin has no effect on cholesterol level and metabolism. But it interacts with majority of medications, if you take some medication for choslesterol it can affect its metabolism, thus lead to decrease of cholesterol.

Hope I could help you

Wishing you good health
