Does Varicose Veins With Leg Pain Have Any Alternative Treatment?
My wife is experiencing a lot of pain in her legs. She has varicose veins. Her mother did too. She says her legs are like a super model compared to her mother (deceased). Her dad was diabetic and wound up losing both legs before passing away. She says her condition is hereditary from her mother. She been uncomfortable with leg pain for years. She's worn the support hose and gets some relief. Lately the pain has gotten worse as she is very active caring for our grandson. Our doctor said there is nothing she can do but just wear the support stockings and elevate her legs when possible. My wife seems to think there's nothing that can be done either. Is this true or should she get another opinion and see some sort of specialist? Please advise. Thanks.
Hi! if I am her treating doctor I will advice her to continue wear vericose stokings as this is non surgical management. Also she can take 2 tablets daflon 500 mg in the morning daily. Also take tablet evion LC 400mg once daily .but all these are not definite treatment. For that you can consult endovascular surgeon . He can offer you endovascular laser ablation or radiofrequency ablation or sclerotherapy depending on your severity of varicose veins and your choice. Hope this helps you.thanks
