Does Usage Of CPAP Machine Cause Toothache?

My husband has been using a CPAP for several years. Just recently his teeth ache badly and are sensitive to heat and cold and he feels he has sinus pressure. He got an ex-ray from regular doctor and they could find nothing. He went to dentist he could not find anything either...so I got to thinking maybe it is the CPAP causing the issue?

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

CPAP machine use is not the cause for sensitivity of teeth rather if you have sensitivity to hot and cold then it is most probably due to Dentinal hypersensitivity..
When the nerve endings of the teeth are exposed it can cause irritation of the nerve fibres causing sensitive teeth..

For now you can start using anti sensitivity toothpaste.
Apply the paste for about 30-40 seconds and brush your teeth with it..
Avoid very cold and hot foods and just bring them.to room temperature..
Use soft toothbrush to brush your teeth..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
