General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Peptic ulcer does not cause either back pain or fever. Upper middle abdominal pain along with nausea and vomiting are the most characteristic symptoms.
Back pain can be caused by gallstones (the pain appears after fatty foods), urinary tract infection (frequent urinating, burning while urinating should be present) or spine disc problems.
I suggest you to have blood work, urine analysis abdominal ultrasound done at first. If this tests will be negative, you should consult orthopedist and consider spine MRI.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
