Does Thyroxine Sodium Have Side Effects?

Sir, I am 40 yrs.and Thyroid diagose during Dec.,2010 T3 was 1.7 , T4 was .82 and TSH was 12.79 and thereafter Doctors have recomnded thyroxine sodium 50 mcg one tablet daily then on 6/5/11 Report was T3 1.78 , T4 .89 AND TSH WAS 13.70 AND DOCTOR HAVE CONTINUE THE TABLET BUT I AM WORRIED as my scin of hand have become some black colour . Sir, can you advice me to proceed further ? I will be highly oblidged for your advice . my e-mail id is : YYYY@YYYY

I really appreciate your concern, it is nothing to worry if it is the thyroid dysfunction and being treated well or diagnosed, you have to continue taking the medicine according to prescribed by doctor, if you have doubt then you can consult the endocrinologist, but it is nothing to worry, hope this information helps.
