Does Thyroid Dysfunction Cause Irregular Periods?

if i have thyroid disease can it make my periods irregular even if I am on medication to control my thyroid? i have not had my monthly cycle since first week of january and I have not been sexually active since October and took three negative pregnancy tests to be sure.

There are many causes of irregular period eg. weight, hormonal disterbances etc

Thyroid disease also can cause irregular period, but for thyriod related problem there will be some other physical problem also.

You consult with an gyenaecologist for further evaluation.
