Does Thyroid Cause Irregular Periods?

Hi, My age is 28 yrs, weight 51 kgs and height is 5.4 ft. I have been suffering from hypothyroidism since 2 months, and my TSH level is 11.6. Last month i got my period 5 days before but this month i have not get my period for past 36 days. is due to thyroid problem or there is some other reason? Please suggest me what should i do?

I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have hypothyroidism and it can cause menstrual irregularities so you should take treatment of hypothyroidism. Drugs like thyroxine are useful in treating hypothyroidism. Once your thyroid level comes to normal. Your menstrual problem will cured. If it remains persistent then you should search for other cause.
