Does Testicular Atrophy Lead To Impotence?

About 5 years back i had severe pain in my left testicle. I had that pain for 2 days and on 3rd got frustrated with the pain and masturbated twice. After a day i noticed some swelling in my left testis. I went to a urologist. They couldnt find out the cause. After a few months i had left testicular atrophy. Can you make out from my history what i had ? And if one sided testicular atrophy makes me impotent ?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
One sided atrophy of the testis does not make anyone impotent.
From the history of pain and swelling of one sided testis followed by atrophy in spite of been seen by a Doctor indicates that you had testicular torsion.
Now nothing can be done for that.
Get an ultrasound and color Doppler, semen analysis and blood testosterone levels and get treated according to the reports.
I find this answer helpful
