Does Teratozoospermia Cause A Miscarriage?
Hi Doctor, This is Rohan, my wife had 2 miscarriages. I am taking Eptoin 300mg per day since 12 years and my semen analysis is diagnosed with teratozoospermia having morphology 2%. Could you please advice if teratozoospermia /Eptoin leading miscarriages.

Teratozoospermia (abnormal sperm morphology) and eptoin taken by the male partner will not increase the risk of miscarriage. However, eptoin can contribute to decreased sperm count and abnormal sperm morphology. Please discuss with your doctor to switch to another antiepileptic like Oxcarbazepine which is not harmful to your sperm.
