Does Taking Ivermectin For Scabies Cause Severe Pain In Legs And Arms?

My daughter was diagnosed with scabies. After 3 treatments of Permethrin cream, no relief. Dr prescribed

Ivermectin. Due to her weight she had to take 9 tablets. This was almost 2 weeks ago, the itching is better but she is now having severe pain in her legs and arms. Does the Ivermectin cause pain like this?

The normal dose of ivermectine for scabies in adults is 200 mcg / kg body weight .
So take notice of this thing that how much dose your daughter received .
Normal for an adult is 12 mg .
The main side effects are many but arthralgia and myalgia ( pain in joints and muscles ) are most common but these effects are in few patients and also short lived so need not to worry.
Weight for another 4-5 day and take calpol 650 mg once or twice in day for 3-4 days.
If pain still persists then consult a physician and get his opinion.
