Does Taking Duphaston And Metformin Help In Conception While Having PCOS?

Hi doc. I have a condition suggestive of adenomyosis plus I have PCOS and irregular menstrual cycle. I want to get pregnant soon and my OB told me to take Duphaston for 21 days starting day 5 of cycle and Metformin (500mg) once a day. Is this helpful for me to get pregnant?

Hi.

These medications will help for you to first regilarise your menstrual cycle, which once regular will provide better and increased chances for conception. Your doctor will then start you on clomiphene which will also increase chances of conception, but it is a step by step process and will require patience.
