Does Taking Disprin On An Empty Stomach Cause Diarrhea?
I've been having a upset stomach now for 5days, I've been drinking pills to set my stomach again, but it doesn't seem to work. The only reason that I can think of is the fact that I drank disprin on a empty stomach, without water. Can this be the problem and if so please direct me on a treatment method
yes surly it can be a culprit of your sufferings. Disprin contains aspirine which is anti inflammatory drug & may cause the acidity & gastric irritation & upset. It is always advisable to have it after having food to neutralise the side effect of acidity. It is better to include curd & buttermilk in your diet if you have stomach upset. Else you can take one the antacids 20 minutes before the ingestion of table disprine.
But my personal opinion is that you should not take any medication without proper consultation of your physician as continuous intake of the over the counter available medication may be problematic. ( If you require more than three or more doses of over the counter available medication it is the time to visit your doctor. )
