Does Taking 2nd Dose Of Lisinopril Cause Headaches?

I have had some of my medications changed recently as follows: as of over a month ago have gone from taking one 40 mg. lisinopril to taking two 40 mg daily. I take it at around 7:00 am and again at 7:00 pm. Because my blood pressure was high my doctor also now as me taking two (from one daily) of amlodipine besylate 5.0 mg. daily which I take at 3 pm and 8 pm. I also take other medications. Several times a week for over a month now I get a headache that always comes on after the afternoon 2nd lisinopril. Will this go away after a while? My email is not working. Can you answer here?

Lisinopril can sometimes be associated with a headache in some persons who use it so it is possible that it may be responsible for your headaches.

Amlodipine may also be associated with headaches as well in some persons.

If you are having effects from the lisinopril, it would be best to speak to your doctor to see if the medication can be changed.
