Does Stopping Thyronorm Intake Cause Delayed Periods?

Hi Doctor, during my first trimester(Jan 2015), i got to know that my TSH is about 8 point which is higher than normal than i started thyronorm with doctor s prescription. After that i am continuously on medication. After my delivery in Aug 2015 again i was on medication. I checked again on 9 feb 2016 and i had T3-85, T4-5.3 and TSH -20.04 and then i started 100 mcg thyronorm for 6 days a week . on 22 may 2016 my t3-71, T4-7.6 and TSH was 7.3 then same medication for 5 days a week. after that on 14-Sep 2016 TSH was 0.79 then thyronorm 100 mcg 5 days a week. and on 2 feb 2017 tsh was 2.82. I stopped my medicine after mid feb. now, in march my period is delayed. is it due to stop of medicine? can i again start that?

Hi, I think you should start taking it again because your TSH is under control because of medicine only. If you will stop it, it will again become high. If the level falls too much, then Also you should lower the dose of thyronorm rather than stopping it. Stopping it can lead to delayed periods. Also do a urine pregnancy test at home to rule out pregnancy.
