Does Stopping Levest Intake After 21 Days Result In Irregular Periods?

Hi, i wanted to ask you if i take levest 150/30 coated tablets for just one month (21 days) and then stop taking them will my periods occur normally how they used to? I have pcos so i m a bit worried my periods might become irregular once i stop it. Thank youu

Hi I think in PCO patients, there is absence of ovulation which leads to delayed periods. So, hormones are given to regulate the periods. Thus chances are there that you may have irregular periods if you stop taking the pills after one month. Generally these are given for 6 months and then stopped to see the effect. Get a thyroid profile and prolactin level done. Talk to your doctor regarding this. Hope it helps.
