Does Seizure Cause Severe Head Ache?

Thank you I have epilepsy and take Vimpat. I had a seizure 1-31-2017 I don t remember anything about my seizures until they are over and I m injured That morning when I woke up I couldn t see out of my Lt eye it was swollen shut also nose bruised and rt eye I still have bruising on eye lid and corner of left eye. MY DR.FINALY GOT PA. I have very bad headache and was Wondering if it could be related? I had neck surgery year ago from a lot of stuff with cervical problems. After I injured neck in 1999 I also would get severe h-aches if I turned neck to much etc. I have CT Scan set up For end of week. Thanks again

It sounds as if your headache may be due to a traumatic injury you suffered during the seizure if you are also stating that you have a swollen left eye and bruising to the nose and right eye. This is most likely from where the headache is emanating. However, following a generalized tonic clonic seizure it is not uncommon for patients to complain of very strong and sometimes migraine like headaches. If I were in your position and with that much injury to the face my recommendation is that you get scanned now rather than waiting to next week just to rule out any type of fracture in the face or neck.
