Does Scarred Pancreas Have Any Impact On The Life Span Of A Person?
I was diagnosed with having a scarred pancreas a few weeks ago. I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2004. It was well under control until just recently. I started taking insulin on May 17th, currently 50 units per day. The diabetes is now back under control. I am a male, 67 years old. I understand that If the diabetes continues to be under control, I will likely have a normal life span. My question is whether or not the pancreas disease will impact my life span? Thanks
