Do not worry. Saaz ds (Sulfasalazine) is safe during pregnancy and is not expected to cause any harm to the unborn baby. Also it is not known whether sulfasalazine passes into breast milk or if it could harm the baby. Though there is some evidence of human foetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk as this is used for the serious disease and safer drugs are ineffective. But always remember that you should take this drug according to the advice of your doctor and do complete course of medication as prescribed by your doctor even though you feel better after one or two days of usage of medication.
