Does Raw Bananas Cause Nausea When Pregnant?

I'm 15 weeks pregnant and have realized that eating bananas raw or dried banana chips make me feel very nauseaus and sick to my stomach. Is it all in my head? I physically feel ill afterwards and last hours that way. Texture and taste do not gross me out.

Hello,
Individual variations do happen as to the taste alterations during pregnancy. Raw bananas may be difficult to digest and as such may cause some gastritis aggravating the nausea of pregnancy, while banana chips are usually made with coconut iol which can cause nausea especially when eaten on empty stomach. Please try alternatives such as other seasonal fruits, fresh vegetables and liquids. You may use an enzyme if you feel digestion is slow as often happens during pregnancy. Wait for at least 30 minutes before lying down after food. Wish you safe motherhood.
