The chronic prostatitis
in your case seems to be bacterial in origin. This is most commonly treated with antibiotics. However, both Escherichia coli
and Enterococci are two organisms that are known to be resistant to most drugs. Hence, I would suggest that a culture and sensitivity be done for the prostatic secretions and the appropriate antibiotics be decided.
Chronic prostatitis does not cause erection problems. I would be able to help you more in this regard if you could let me know your age, any other medical conditions that you have ( particularly diabetes
or high blood pressure
) and whether you are currently receiving any medication or not.
