Does Prolonged Use Of Cold And Cough Medication Have Any Side Effects?
My son is 13 months old. Hé has suffering cough . doctor prescribe asthaline and kidpred syrup.cough decreses.but after thé two weaks hé bas suffering cough and cold.doctor prescribe thèse medicine. Continues uses of this medicine has Any side effect.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are wondering if prolonged use of cold and cough medication have any side effects which seems to be due to chest infection , chronic upper respiratory tract infection , sinusitis or allergic rhinitis . It seems to be due to poor immunity of body.
The symptoms can also occur as a side effects of certain medicine .I would suggest you to take nasal sprays and do warm saline gargles. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get throat swab test, paranasal sinus and chest x-ray and blood test done and start treatment after proper prescription.
You should take cough syrup on daily basis. You should take antibiotic Levofloxacin in combination with antiallergic medication Levocetirizine. Drink glass of warm water with honey .
