Does Prolonged Intake Of Tonact Cause Side Effects In An Elderly Person?
Hello doctor, I have been taking TONAC#20 mg tablets daily one for the last many years. I want to know weather the prolonged use of TONAC 20 for a prolonged period will have any side effects , wather this tablet can cause GLAUCOMA. Now I am aged 65 years. Kindly reply to YYYY@YYYY

tonact is atorvastatin , it is a lipid lowering drug.most common side effect is hepatotoxicity , myopathy if it is used along with fibrate group of drugs . glaucoma is not a side effect of tonact .I can suggest you to consult your opthalmologist and check for any other causative factors for glaucoma and start treatment for it otherwise it leads to permanent blindness.
