Does Pitiryasis Rosea Before Pregnancy Cause Birth Defects On The Child?

i have had pitiryasis rosea since nov 2013 and missed my menstrual cycle this month Jan 2014. i know that if you get this skin condition during pregnancy it has birth defects on the child. However, i developed this prior to my pregnancy. Does it still have the same affects on my pregnancy?

Hi, It is actually a benign skin lesion and if nothing active now don't worry. It may cause mild itching and it is a viral infection.You should consult your gynecologist and she will take extra care and get all relevant investigations in time along with your scans. Thanks.
