Does Pinkish Vaginal Discharge With Odor Indicate Yeast Infection?

I occasionally get a yeast infection at the end of my period so this month I wasn t surprised by pain and a sort of whitish discharge. Several days later I still have some pain and a discharge thst is unpleasant and pinkish in color. This is something I have never had before. I just took a script of azithromycin for a sinus infection another perfect storm for yeast for me. I have been using nobody at and not getting relief. Is this something more nefarious than yeast?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to yeast infection. As you had an antibiotic therapy this is a high possibility. A swab test will be helpful to rule out the condition. Using Clotrimazole cream (monistat ) for local application will be helpful. You can also use intimate wash daily to normalize vaginal bacterial flora and PH. This will help to resist from getting such infections.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
