Does Persistent Itching And Bumps On My Breasts Need Medical Attention?

My left breast has recently started itching really bad the past couple days. This morning I got out of the shower and noticed there are two big red bumps on my areola and two red bumps on my breast area too. Is this something I should go see the doctor about or is this just a rash?

hi.

it is best if you consult with a doctor, preferably a general surgeon, for medical and physical examination. based from your description, it could be an inflammatory reaction or a mastitis. it could also be a cyst, a fibroma or a fibrocystic lesion. these benign breast lesions are best evaluated clinically. further diagnostic examinations, such as breast ultrasound and mammography, will be requested as needed. regular breast examination and follow-up with your doctor is highly recommended in these cases. management (medical and/or surgical) will be directed accordingly.
