Does Persistent Dry Cough Cause Pain Below The Breast?

I have been coughing (dry cough for a while), especially at night time. I cough so much until I want to throw up. Now, above my right diaphragm (just underneath the breast) is so painful every time I take a deep breath or cough. I dont know if it is related to the cough. Should I go see the doctor?

I have understand your concern

most probable reason for your pain are
1.pleurisy
2.acute bronchitis
3.bronchial asthma

I can suggest you to get done
1.ECG
2.chest X ray
3.hemogram
4.sputum for gram stain, AFB and culture

mean while take
1. tab. ultracet twice daily for 3 days
2. syrup.Alex 10 ml thrice daily
3. Duolin and steam inhalation thrice daily

after that reports we ll plan further action
