Does Passive Inhalation Of Weed Smoke Cause False Positive Drug Test Result?

I am a 26 yr old female. I am 5'5" and weigh 170. My boyfriend smokes weed around me a lot but I don't smoke at all. I have a job drug test and am wondering if I will pass? It's very important to me and I'm worried cause if I lose this job due to his smoking it will cause relationship issues.

Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.

I understand that you are concerned about your passive inhalation of weed smoke and the upcoming drug test. It is possible that passive inhalation of weed smoke can cause a drug test to turn out positive.

The passive smoker also gets significant amounts of drug into his / her system, though the quantity is relatively less. So, there is no guarantee that your drug test will be negative if you have passively inhaled weed smoke. Please ensure that you prevent yourself from such passive smoke exposure in the future to avoid such complications.

Wish you all the best.

Regards,
