Does Pale-red Foul Smelling Discharge Indicate An Infection Of The Vagina Or The Beginning Of My Periods ?

im due for my period bout this time. i have beeing peeing more regulary then usual & just small amounts. its making my underwear smell awful. i think i could have an infection but is the pale red the beginning of my period or something else?

Welcome to HealthcareMagic.As you mentioned, a red coloured vaginal discharge, about time for your menstrual periods , could well be your periods only.But aprt from that it could be due to oestrogen deficiency, when the uterine lineing(endometrium) becomes thin and it starts to bleed but scantily.Again, it could be of some infectious etiology too.If you have had intercourse, then better get vaginal swab test/culture, blood test as well as urine routine test done.It is always advisable to meet a gynaec and elaborate your problems so that they are dealtwith thoroughly.Get well soon.
