Does Pain In Armpit And Breast While Breathing/coughing Indicate Pleurisy?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...i have broncitius and have been coughing but i have sharp pain in my left armpit and breast. it hurts to breath, cough, sneeze,and turn. i went to my dr, she thinks its muscle. i am on leviquin for the anti biotic. could this be pluisey and if so will this anti biotic help?

I can understand your concern.
Pleurisy is inflammation of pleura and most common cause for this is bronchitis.
So possibility of bronchitis related pleurisy is more for your pains.
And antibiotic is mainstay of treatment so continue with leviquin.
Along with antibiotic, you should take combination of painkiller and anti inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen and paracetamol.
Apply warm water pad on affected areas of chest.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
