Does My Husband's Blood In Urine And Stools Testicular Pain And Nausea Need Medical Attention?

My husband aged 44 has UTI since yesterday morning. Has been prescribed Cefalexin. Symptoms blood in urine, blood in stool, fever, hot and cold sweats, very painfull testicles, very faint and weak, nauseaous, vomiting. Should I take him to hospital or let him ride it out?

Hi thanks for asking question.
I can understand your concern.
Here symptoms are severe.So according to my opinion intravenous antibiotic has to be started(either in hospital or at home).Better to start with intravenous ceftriaxone infusion 1 bd for 3 to 5 days.
Then switch over to oral cefixime or cefalexin.
In between treatment mantain hydration of patient with drinking more water.
Avoid spicy food.
Drink more fruit juice.
Cranberry extract tablet can be started.
cranberry juice also effective.
Avoid smoke.
