Does Muscle Strain In Groin Area Cause Recurrent Pain?

Hi, I have a pain in the right side groin area, no lumps, hurts when I cough and press on it. Started 3 months ago, , had catscan done was diagnosed with strained groin, pain went away after few days but never left completely. No pain for about 2 months but could tell something was still there in same area for whole time. Pain came back 1 day ago, took ibuprofen first time for pain, waiting for callback from Doctor, sounds like hernia???

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that there are all chances of having developing inguinal hernia.
Due to lax lower abdominal muscles or weak inguinal ring there might be having some protrusion from site due to constipation or cough reflex.
Consult surgeon and get examined.
Ok and take care.
