Does Mucous Discharge With Backache Indicate Going Into Labour?

I am 39.5weeks pregnant and have been having lots of mucousy discharge today along with back achiness. Could I be going into labor soon? Please note that I have been 3cm dliated since Thursday as well not due for my next appointment until this Friday.

I think I have understood your concern. The sticky discharge is the mucus from the cervix i.e. mouth of the womb.It is also called as -SHOW. As you are already 3 cm dilated and now having sticky discharge with low backache, you are likely to progress in labor. Please keep watch on increase in the intensity and frequency of pain, and tightness of the womb. And if you start getting reddish discharge or watery discharge (breaking waters) start to your delivery unit without delay.
