Dear Patient, Thanks for contacting HCM I have gone through your case and understand what you want to know. No doubt Dizziness is one of the side effects of pravastatin and we generally inform our patient to avoid driving and operating heavy machinery at least for first few days after starting it but you have mentioned that you had 3 episodes of stroke, so my advice to you would be to do a CT scan and if possible an MRI to rule out any further episodes of stroke. Stoke may also present with dizziness and loss of balance. We must first rule out stroke before moving forward. Hope this has helped you Regards
