Does Medically Induced Menopause Cause Infertility Problems?

Hello, As part of my treatment for aplastic anemia four years ago, I was put in chemically induced menopause. I was only given the injections to stop my cycle for 3 months. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 1 year and 6 months. Does the medically induced menopause cause infertility problems later on. I was only 24 at the time, and now I am 28. Have had normal yearly paps, and my husbands sperm counts are normal.

Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
If you have resumed your normal periods after the medically induced menopause, then there should be no protein conception, as the effect of the medications would have completely waned off from the body by then.
You should get completely investigated for the cause of infertility like thyroid hormone levels, prolactin levels, ultrasound, follicular monitoring and patency of the fallopian tubes.
After these investigations, the cause can be confirmed and further management should be done accordingly.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
