Does Low Iron And Gestational Diabetes Cause Sudden Headache, dizziness And Blurred Vision During 30 Weeks Of Pregnancy ?

My 15 years old, pregnant 30 weeks, low iron and gestational diabetes . sudden headache , dizziness , blurred vision , nausea turning into hyperventalating. just got back from er and every test was done, oh elevated deedimer results and low homagloben, catscan of head, legs, a chest radiation of some sort to make sure no clot in lungs, no pain or problems with baby. started suddenly at a store and worsened while at hospital, Doc said he was admitting her for observation, but then sent her to labor and delivery and midwife said baby was fine and she was discharged and just took shower looks very pale, got hot then dizzy. any info from desperate mom

Welcome to Healthcare Magic
Since she was hyperventilating and looking pale the Doctors would have suspected a clot formation in her legs which is a common place for clots to form which raises D-dimer levels. It could be that she had a placental rupture which caused all the symptoms and pre-term labour as well. She will need blood infusion in most cases. She should be fine as long as her blood starts clotting normally again.

Hi,thanks for query. Please keep a close watch on her.Admission for observation was in my opinion is a good idea.Though reports are normal ,she needs to be on regular observation.Give her rest and medicines and diet as advised. She is too young to become pregnant.Keep watch on her sugar with glucometer about 4-5 times in day. Also keep a tab on her blood pressure, this is crucial time of pregnancy complications.
wishing her good health.
