Does Lisinopril And Pravastatin Help To Control Blood Pressure And Cholesterol?

I am only 32 yrs old, i have high blood pressure 148/91 and cholestrol and triglycerides are 500, I have been put on 10mg of Lisinopril, and 20mg of Pravastatin. Dores this sound like a good combination. I dont like having to take several medications. I also have to take pain meds for my back and knee from a past accident.

Thanks for contacting HCM. dear patient both lisnopril and pravastatin are good drugs for high blood pressure and high cholesterol respectively. Though as your triglycerides are very high a combination of pravastatin or atorvastatin with fenofibrate would have been a better choice. Please understand taking medicines as is necessary is better that facing complications of high BP and high cholesterol. Remember you also need to exercise regularly and eat a low salt and low cholesterol diet to get good results. regards
