Does Lisinopril And Metoprol Boost The Potassium Levels In The Body?

i am taking lisinopril, also took metoprol before, do they both boost the potasiium levels in you body? they now want me to try this med called amlodipine. my potasium is really high. i read the side effects of this amilodpine and it frightens me.

Hello dear,
Lisinopril can cause some elevation of potassium level.But metoprolol(have minimal effects) and amlodipine(no effect) not usually cause hyperkalemia.
Anyhow,your doctor will take all these issues into consideraration.You need not worry.
