Does Irregular Periods, Mood Swings, Insomnia, Hot Flashes Indicates Perimenopausal Symptoms?

Hi I am a 49 year old woman, in good health- good weight, exercise daily, mostly healthy diet- and i am starting to experience some symptoms of perimenopause- irregular periods, mood swings, insomnia, hot flashes. I have noticed lately that my chest is very red. It gets worse when I exercise and spreads to my shoulders. Is this a perimenopausal symptom, or something I need to get checked out? I also have eczema on my upper back that is driving me crazy!! My dermatologist gave me a very strong steroid cream but it barely helps. Could this be related? (The reddened area of my chest is not itchy or uncomfortable, just embarrassing.)

Hi. all the symptoms you are experiencing are related to perimenopause, but the redness of skin may not be due to this. There is deficiency of estrogen hormone in and around menopause which does cause thinning of epidermis and may cause dryness, itching, and some redness, but this may be part of eczema which is already there on your back.
Yuo can consult your dr. and try non hormonal preparation for all these perimenopausal symptoms, like Tibofem, which is just as HRT and produces estrogen, progesterone and testosterone in a similar way as natural production.
Thanks.
