Does Intake Of Mercury Used In Thermometer Lead To Side Effects In A Child?

Hi my son (1.6) years broken thermometer in his mouth and some mercury were found in his stomach during x-ray. My doctor suggested me it will removed during motion. And during his motion we found that some particle got removed. Is it really cause any type of dangerous? is it very harmful in future?

That small amount of mercury ingestion causes no health problems and he will be fine. Nothing at all to worry about here
