Does Intake Of Trigestrel Pills Cause Irregular Periods?

Hello..I used trigestrel pill for about 2 weeks then stopped this was October,then 7th November I had my periods..was suppose 2 go on periods 5th December but up to now I stil hvnt seen my periods and u have cramps ..had pregnancy test 8th December it was negative..can u help me figure out what could be the problem

Hi,

You should have taken your pills for at least 3 weeks, it coincides with your natural cycle. However since you mentioned you had periods twice post withdrawal of pills it is certain that you were not pregnant then. At present though your symptoms are not sure shot for diagnosing pregnancy, it is certain that what you are experiencing are hormonal changes effecting your body.

Moreover you have not had your regular periods. In order to make sure you have pregnancy you have to get a UPT test done.

1) If you have menses in your regular dates then you can be sure you do not have pregnancy. Even if you miss your dates, take a UPT and then only you can be sure of pregnancy, which you have already done.

2) So wait for 2 to 3 days if you still don't have menses visit a gynecologist for thorough examination. The reasons for your symptoms could be certainly evaluated then.
