Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
So I have pcos, I already have one child and have been wanting another. I been on metformin for almost 3 months I ve had a period since taking it. However last month and this month still no period. Is this common with taking metformin or could I be pregnant ? I ve noticed blue veins running through my areolas, no heavy darkness but a little brown ring around them. Slight cramping. Took 4 tests already all negative... What should I do
Pregnancy tests detect the HCG hormome, this can be found by day 11 to 14 after possible conception. If the tests were done after this time then they are accurate and you are not pregnant at this time.
If they were done before this, then you may need to repeat another.
If they are truly negative then the period delay is likely related to your PCOS since delayed periods is a symptom of this condition.
I hope this helps
